Mailchimp

Sync form submissions from UpForm to a Mailchimp audience. After contacts land in Mailchimp, you can run automations such as welcome or thank-you emails.

Before you begin

  • You need a Mailchimp account.
  • In UpForm, enable Save submission data for the form. Workflow sync will not run if submissions are not saved. See General.
  • Mailchimp needs an email to create or update a contact. Make the form’s email field required.
  • In UpForm, Mailchimp lists appear under Select audience.
  • Mailchimp menus and labels can change. If something does not match exactly, use Mailchimp’s search or help for API keys, audience fields, and automations.

Connect Mailchimp in UpForm

  1. In UpForm, open SettingsWorkflow automation.
  2. Click Add workflow automation provider.
  3. Under Select provider, choose Mailchimp.
  4. Enter a Title for this connection (for example, Mailchimp).
  5. Leave the modal open (or return after you create the key), then continue to generate an API key in Mailchimp.

Prepare audience fields

You can sync any UpForm form. The screenshots below use an example form with fields such as name, email, makeup experience, preferred style, and a notification opt-in.

Email mapping is required. Fields left unmapped are not sent to Mailchimp.

If new audience fields do not appear in the dropdown yet, wait a moment or reconnect the Mailchimp provider so UpForm can refresh the field list.

Then Save the form and Publish it to your storefront.
