Appearance
GetResponse
Sync form submissions from UpForm to a GetResponse contact list. After contacts land in GetResponse, you can run automations such as welcome emails.
Before you begin
- You need a GetResponse account.
- In UpForm, enable Save submission data for the form. Workflow sync will not run if submissions are not saved. See General.
- GetResponse menus and labels can change. If something does not match exactly, use GetResponse’s search or help for API, lists, and custom fields.
Connect GetResponse in UpForm
- In UpForm, open Settings → Workflow automation.
- Click Add workflow automation provider.
- Under Select provider, choose GetResponse.
- Enter a Title for this connection (for example,
GetResponse – UpForm). - Leave the modal open (or return after you create the key), then continue to generate an API key in GetResponse.

Generate a GetResponse API key
- Sign in to GetResponse.
- Open Tools (grid icon) in the top navigation, then select Integrations and API.

- Open the API tab.
- Click Generate API key.

- Name the key (for example,
UpForm Connection), then click Generate.

- Copy the API key.

- Return to UpForm, paste the key into API key, enable Active if shown, then click Save.

Prepare a GetResponse list and custom fields
Create or select a contact list
- In GetResponse, open Contacts.
- Use an existing list, or click Create list.
- Enter a list name (for example,
Test UpForm), then create the list.

Create custom fields
You can sync any UpForm form. The screenshots below use an example contact form with fields such as name, email, phone, surfboard interest, and message.

Create custom fields in GetResponse for any answers that do not already have a matching field.
- In GetResponse, go to Contacts → Custom fields.
- Click Create custom field.

- Enter a Field name (for example,
surfboard). - Choose a Field type. For a single-choice radio field, Text → Single answer is a common option. Add the same answer choices that appear on your form if the field type requires them.
- Click Save.

Repeat for each unique form answer you want to store. For longer text such as a message field, use a paragraph-style text type (for example, Text (paragraph)).

Enable GetResponse on a form
- Open the form in the form builder (or create one from a template).
- Open the General tab → Workflow automation.
- Enable Sync submission data with GetResponse.
- Select the Provider you connected earlier.
- Under Select list, choose the GetResponse list you prepared.

You can also click Add for GetResponse from this section if you have not connected a provider yet.
Map form fields
In the mapping table, match each form field (Label / Name) to a GetResponse field under Mapping.
Example mapping for a contact form:
| Form field | GetResponse field (example) |
|---|---|
| Name | Name |
| Phone | Phone |
| Which surfboard you are interested in? | surfboard (custom field) |
| Message | message (custom field) |

Map every field you want stored in GetResponse, then Save the form and Publish it to your storefront.
Test the sync
- On the live storefront, submit the form with complete test data.
- Wait about 30–60 seconds.
- In GetResponse, open Contacts and confirm the new contact and mapped values.

Optional: Create a GetResponse automation
After contacts sync successfully, you can automate follow-up in GetResponse. Example: send a welcome email when someone subscribes to your UpForm list.
- In GetResponse, open Tools → Automation.

- Click Create workflow.

- Choose Build from scratch.

- Select the Email channel, then continue to choose the start element.

- Under basic start elements, choose Subscribes, then confirm.

- Optionally add a Wait action and connect it after Subscribes. Set a delay (for example, 1 hour or 1 day).

- Add a Send message action, connect it in the flow, and choose the email to send.

- Optionally add conditions such as Link clicked? to branch the journey (for example, send another message if they click, or move them to another list if they do not).

- When the workflow looks correct, click Publish to activate it.
If this does not work as expected, Contact for help.
